Coach Sheryl Botes is wasting no time in getting her squad ready for the upcoming FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers against Zambia. With the stakes high, she’s summoned a formidable provisional squad of 32 players to start preparations.
The Uganda U17 Women’s National Team, affectionately known as the Teen Cranes, will face off against Zambia in what promises to be an exhilarating showdown. The first leg is scheduled for May 12th at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka, followed by the return leg on May 17th, 2024, at St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.
The squad will enter a residential camp at Cranes Paradise Hotel in Kisasi, starting April 28th, 2024, to fine-tune their strategies and hone their skills.
After overcoming Cameroon in the previous round, Uganda is poised to take on Zambia, who secured their spot by eliminating Tanzania. The winner of this clash will advance to face either Morocco or Algeria in the final qualification phase.
Led by Coach Sheryl Botes, along with her dedicated coaching and support staff, the Teen Cranes are ready to give it their all and make their mark on the road to the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup.
