The Uganda Premier League continued on Wednesday with three matches played at different venues.

Both sides went into the game with different ambitions as Villa were attempting to get revenge on the Red Eagles who beat them 1-0 in the first game.

For Express, they wanted to keep in close tabs with joint leaders URA FC and Vipers SC who had won their UPL match-day 17 fixture’s a day before.

A cagey encounter should however end 0-0 with either side taking a point home.

The draw takes Express to 36 points, three behind the top two.

For Villa, they remain in 6th position with 29 points from 17 games.

At Lugogo, Police FC dispatched UPDF FC 3-0.

Derrick Kakooza scored a brace after Frank Tumwesigye had opened the scoring early in the first half.

Tumwesige handed the Cops a deserved lead on 21 minutes as Police pressed for early rewards.

Kakooza then doubled their lead on 38 minutes to go into the break leading 3-0.

Kakooza then added a third in the 61st minute to put the game beyond UPDF.

TH win sees Police climb into 4th with 31 points while UPDF stays in 6th on 27 points.

At Kavumba, Bright Stars FC took care of Wakiso Giants FC 3-2 in a thrilling encounter.

As early as the 3rd minute, Ivan Bogere poked home from close range to see Wakiso take the lead.

Bright Stars replied on 15 minutes through Samuel Ssekamate who rifled in off a freekick.

Joseph Janjali then put the hosts ahead with a fine finish on 34 minutes.

Five minutes after the break, the visitors were given a penalty but Tom Masiko missed as his effort was saved by substitute goalkeeper Simon Tamale.
