-Vipers SC 1-0 KCCA FC
-Onduparaka FC 0-3 URA FC
-Bright Stars FC 1-2 SC Villa
-Mbarara City FC 1-1 BUL FC

The Uganda Premier League match-day 15 continued of Wednesday with four games played on the day.

Defending champions Vipers SC registered a massive victory as they overcame KCCA FC 1-0 at the St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.

The only game of the contest came on 39 minutes in unlikely fashion as Peter Magambo directed Disan Galiwango’s teasing cross into his own net.

It was a contest played in derby spirit but Mike Mutebi’s side could not recover as Vipers held on to victory.

The win sees them return to second spot with 33 points.

For KCCA, they stay in 4th on 27 points from 15 games.

In Arua, URA FC continued their fine run of form as they powered past hapless Onduparaka FC 3-0.

Steven Mukwala took advantage of a lose ball to poke home the opener on 21 minutes before adding a second just past the hour mark.

The points were sealed with 22 minutes to play through Cromwell Rwothomio to ensure the Tax Collectors register their seventh win on the trot.

Victory ensures Sam Simbwa’s side head into the league break top of the pile with 36 points, three ahead of Vipers who are in second.

For Onduparaka who have now gone nine games without victory against URA, they drop to 8th with 21 points from 15 games.

At Kakyeka, Bebe Swalik missed a penalty and opened the scoring as Mbarara City FC drew 1-1 with BUL FC.

On what was Livingstone Mbabazi’s return to the Ankole Lions helm, Swalik missed from the spot in the opening exchanges but netted the opener on 15 minutes.

However, his and Mbarara’s joy were short lived as Simon Oketch levelled matters two minutes later.

Despite both sides creating notable opportunities to score, neither would find the back of the net as they settled for a deserved draw in the end.

The points sees Mbarara remain in 12th with 13 points while BUL are 9th on 19 points.

The game played at Kavumba saw SC Villa overcome Bright Stars FC 2-1.

Villa took the lead on six minutes through Benson Wangima’s own goal after he saw Fred Agandu’s cross bounce off the post and onto his back before finding it’s way into the back of the net.

The response was instant as Joseph Akandwanaho pounced on Meddie Kibirige’s loose handling to six-foot into an empty net on 7 minutes.

The winning would not come until the 66th minute when Nicholas Kabonge who had replaced Abdallah Salim six minutes prior forced a rebound home from close range.
