Zimbabwe and Cameroon played out a 0-0 draw in their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Group J qualifier at Mandela National Stadium in Kampala Uganda, on Tuesday evening.
The result sees Zimbabwe remain in third place in the group after drawing their first two matches, while Cameroon sits second with a win and a draw.
Zimbabwe had an early opportunity when Marshall Munetsi set up Khama Billiat, but the latter missed the target just four minutes in. Cameroon’s best chance came right before halftime when Vincent Aboubakar failed to capitalize, sending his shot over the bar.
In the second half, Cameroon goalkeeper Andre Onana was crucial, making important saves to deny both Munetsi and Billiat, ensuring the match ended in a goalless draw.
Both teams will face different opponents in October, with Zimbabwe set to take on Namibia in a home-and-away tie, while Cameroon faces Kenya.
