The second edition of the HK Junior Golf Challenge will be held on Saturday, 13th March 2021 at Kilembe Mines Golf Club’s 18-hole par-73 course in Kasese District.

The inaugural edition was held in 2019 but the 2020 staging didn’t happen due to COVID-19 disruptions.

By press time, event chief organizer – Habib Kissande, also a member of Kilembe Mines Golf Club revealed that 35 juniors had registered for the challenge.

“Preparations have been moving on well. Basically, we shall be having skills competition like; chipping, putting, longest drive and nearest to the pin,” Kissande said adding that some players are at school, something that might affect the turn up as compared to the previous do that had about 50 juniors participating.

Players from Kilembe Mines Golf Club and Toro Club have confirmed participation at the event. The previous event had only home course players participating and now going forward Kissande believes that the showpiece will attract juniors from more golf clubs.
