Uganda men’s U-23 football side, Kobs settled for a barren stalemate against Saudi Arabia in their first international friendly engagement held a few days ago.

The two sides come up against each other again for the second time today, Monday, 5th July 2021 at the Prince Faisal Bin Abdulaziz stadium in Riyadh City.

According to FUFA website, Ugandan charges had recovery sessions on Saturday and Sunday and are in good shape to find goals when they clash with Saudi Arabia again this evening.

‘We have had good recovery sessions and everyone is fit for the game on Monday. We expect a better game because we have got used to the hot weather and planned well for this match. We want to go to the CECAFA tournament with pride and confidence,’ Head Coach Morley Byekwaso told FUFA website on Sunday.

Vipers SC midfielder Bobosi Byaruhanga, like the head coach also anticipates a far much-improved game than the first one.

‘We face the same opponent that we played on Friday. We have done the homework and planning. I believe we shall have a better game since we have also acclimatized to the hot weather conditions’ Byaruhanga said.

The match will be played at 7 PM.

Team Ugandan is using the tournament as a build-up for the CECAFA U-23 Championship slated to Kick-off on July 17th, 2021 in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia. Uganda are the defending champions of the tournament.
