URA FC are now atop the Uganda Premier League (UPL) table 202/21 season following their impressive 2-1 win over title holders Vipers SC on Saturday at the Arena of Visions play ground, Ndejje University.

The triumph sends URA to the top of the table with 33 points, three ahead of Vipers who were second placed by press time.

The matchday 14 fixture saw URA captain Shafik Kuchi Kagimu and former Vipers forward Steven Desse Mukwala score two goals for Sam Ssimbwa’s coached side on the lunch time fixture under scorching sunshine.

Vipers’ second half consolation was a headed goal by Congolese striker Ceaser Manzoki.

URA now have six league wins in a row while Vipers pick-up their second loss of the season after an away loss to Mbarara City a few days ago.

Express, who are third on 28 points can over take Vipers in second place should they win at home over visiting Kyetume later on Saturday.
