Brian Muruli Mayanja and Fred Kajoba Kisitu have been named as the best player and coach respectively in the Uganda Premier League (UPL) for the month of February, 2021.

This development was confirmed on Monday at Kati Kati Restaurant in Lugogo during the league’s monthly awards.

Muruli is a striker for Uganda Police FC while Fred Kajoba is a coach for UPL title holders Vipers SC.

The duo each walked him with Shs. 1,000,000 courtesy of the awards sponsors, Pilsner Lager.

To win the prize, Muruli beat Express’ forward George Senkaaba and Vipers’ winger Paul Mucureezi.

“I thank God for everything I did in life and in particular the month of February 2021. I thank my teammates, family and fans for the support.” Muruli said at the event.

Muruli is current UPL top scorer with eight goals.

Muruli scored three goals while at Kitara FC before he crossed to Police earlier in the season. He has so far scored five goals for the Cops.
